Chapter 3 – The Evidence Nobody Could Erase

Chapter 3 – The Evidence Nobody Could Erase
By sunrise, the entire state was talking about the courthouse fall.
Television stations replayed the same blurry cellphone video again and again.
But Harrison wasn't interested in headlines.
He wanted proof.
Inside the district attorney's evidence room, security footage played across six monitors.
One angle showed Vanessa stepping into Khloe's path.
Another captured her looking over both shoulders.
Then came the clearest recording.
Vanessa placed both hands against Khloe's shoulders...
And deliberately shoved.
No hesitation.
No stumble.
No accident.
The room fell silent.
The lead investigator paused the video.
"I've seen enough."
Harrison answered calmly.
"No."
"Play the next thirty seconds."
The recording continued.
Richard never ran to his wife.
He never called for help.
He simply watched.
That silence would become evidence too.
At the hospital...
A surgeon finally stepped into the waiting room.
"The baby survived."
Harrison released the first breath he'd taken in hours.
"But..."
The doctor's expression changed.
"Khloe has serious injuries."
"Recovery will take time."
When Harrison entered her room, Khloe slowly opened her eyes.
She whispered only one question.
"My daughter?"
He smiled for the first time in days.
"She's fighting."
"So are you."
A single tear rolled down Khloe's cheek.
Across town...
Federal auditors entered Harrington Commercial Group headquarters carrying sealed boxes.
Major investors froze every pending deal.
Banks suspended several credit lines until the investigation ended.
Richard's board demanded an emergency meeting.
His assistant quietly handed him a folder.
Six directors had already resigned.
May you like
His empire wasn't collapsing because of Harrison.
It was collapsing because no one wanted to stand beside a man the entire country had just watched abandon his injured wife.
