She believed every camera inside the kitchen had been removed during remodeling.

The head of household security quietly handed detectives a portable hard drive.
"One temporary camera remained active."
"It records the nursery hallway and part of the kitchen."
Everyone watched the footage.
There was no sound.
It didn't need any.
Valeria calmly removed the bottle.
She poured liquid into Santi's formula.
She stirred it.
Then she smiled.
Rosa stepped forward.
Valeria threatened her.
Rosa slowly backed away.
The room remained silent as the recording ended.
Tomás lowered his head.
He had spent months believing business trips were the family's greatest problem.
