Chapter 5 – Justice Never Needed Revenge

One year later, Harrington Development no longer existed.
Its former headquarters had become a children's legal advocacy center funded entirely by assets recovered during Richard's criminal case.
Above the entrance was a bronze plaque.
The Khloe Cole Family Justice Center
Inside, families facing abuse, financial fraud, and domestic violence received legal help free of charge.
It had become Harrison's proudest victory.
Not because he had won another case.
But because someone else's suffering might now be prevented.
Khloe had returned to architecture.
Her designs focused on hospitals, family shelters, and children's facilities.
Every evening, little Emma waited at the office window for her mother and uncle to come home together.
One spring afternoon, Emma looked up at Harrison and asked,
"Uncle Harry... are superheroes real?"
He smiled.
"No."
"They're just ordinary people..."
"...who refuse to stop protecting the people they love."
Khloe quietly took her brother's hand.
"You saved us."
Harrison shook his head.
"No."
"You survived."
"I simply made sure the truth had a voice."
As the family walked away together beneath the warm afternoon sun, the courthouse stood peacefully behind them.
The same staircase that had once witnessed betrayal had become a reminder of something stronger.
Justice does not always arrive with anger.

Sometimes, it arrives carrying evidence, patience, and the unwavering determination of someone who refuses to let evil have the final word.
The End.
