Chapter 4 – The Price of Betrayal

Six months later, Khloe stood outside the courthouse again.
This time she wasn't afraid.
She carried little Emma in her arms while Harrison walked beside her.
The marble staircase had been cleaned.
No trace of blood remained.
But everyone remembered.
Reporters gathered nearby.
One asked,
"Mrs. Harrington... do you hate your ex-husband?"
Khloe smiled gently.
"I don't."
"I pity him."
"He traded a family for greed."
"And he lost both."
Richard watched the interview from inside a prison transport vehicle.
For the first time, he saw his daughter.
She laughed as Harrison gently lifted her into the air.
Richard pressed his forehead against the window.
He understood that he would never hear her call him Dad.
That punishment hurt far more than prison.
Later that afternoon, Harrison handed Khloe a folder.
"Everything your husband stole..."
"...has been recovered."
Every hidden account.
Every offshore transfer.
Every investment.
Every property.
Legally returned.
Khloe looked at him with tears in her eyes.
"You never stopped fighting for me."

Harrison smiled.
"I promised Mom I always would."
