Chapter 3 – Every Secret Comes to Light

Three weeks later, the courthouse was full again.

This time, Khloe entered through the front doors in a wheelchair, her newborn daughter asleep in her arms.

The entire lobby became silent.

People remembered the blood on those marble stairs.

Now they watched the woman who had survived.

Harrison walked beside her.

Richard stood at the defense table.

He looked nothing like the confident CEO everyone once admired.

Federal investigators occupied the first row.

Reporters filled every remaining seat.

Judge Eleanor Brooks entered.

"Court is now in session."

The prosecution played the courthouse footage.

Frame by frame.

Vanessa was clearly seen shoving Khloe with both hands.

Gasps spread across the courtroom.

Then Harrison stood.

"I have additional evidence."

He displayed years of financial records.

Hidden companies.

Offshore transfers.

Forged signatures.

Insurance fraud.

Tax evasion.

Even fake construction invoices.

Richard whispered to his attorney,

"Where did he get all this?"

The attorney answered honestly.

"We're finished."

Vanessa tried one final defense.

"Richard told me she was going to take everything from him."

Harrison approached quietly.

"So you decided to kill an unborn child?"

She lowered her head.

No answer came.

Only tears.

The jury watched every second.

After only two hours of deliberation, the verdict arrived.

Vanessa Kensington—

Guilty on every criminal charge.

Richard Harrington—

Guilty of fraud, conspiracy, financial crimes, and obstruction of justice.

His company entered bankruptcy before the sentencing hearing even began.

The empire he had spent fifteen years building disappeared in less than a month.

Not because Harrison destroyed it.

Because the evidence did.
