While the investigation continued, I received an invitation to meet the woman from the showroom.
Her name was Victoria Reynolds.
She wasn't just an investor.
She was the CEO of one of the largest luxury automotive groups in the country.
When I arrived at her headquarters, her son Ethan ran toward me before I even entered the building.
"You came!"
He hugged me with the same excitement he'd shown when sitting inside the white SUV.
Victoria smiled.
"He hasn't stopped talking about you."
She led me through a brand-new dealership unlike any I'd ever seen.
There were no signs warning customers not to touch the vehicles.
Instead, one sentence appeared behind the reception desk.
Every guest deserves respect.
Victoria handed me an employment contract.
"I don't need someone who knows every option package."
"I need someone who understands people."
The position was General Sales Manager.
The salary doubled my previous income.
