Hundreds of influential guests filled the ballroom.
National media covered the event live.
Adrian stepped onto the stage to deliver his speech.

Every screen inside the ballroom suddenly changed.
The Vance family logo disappeared.
A recording began.
Evelyn's voice echoed through the silent ballroom.

The ballroom fell silent.
