Chapter 2: The Fall of Cassandra Hale

Within minutes, the giant screen used for party entertainment displayed financial records.
Thousands.
Millions.
Then tens of millions.
Funds intended for employee benefits had vanished.
Scholarship accounts had been emptied.
Charity donations had been redirected.
The evidence was overwhelming.
Guests stared in disbelief.
Board members pulled out their phones.
Lawyers began leaving urgent messages.
One by one, the names appeared.
Several executives.
Two accountants.
And finally...
Cassandra Hale.
"No!" Cassandra screamed.
"You can't prove any of this!"
But Lena calmly pressed another button.
Security footage filled the screen.
Emails.
Bank transfers.
Voice recordings.
Every piece fit perfectly.
The trap had already been closed.
Richard looked at Cassandra with horror.
"How long?" he asked.
She didn't answer.
"How long?" he repeated.
Years of anger exploded from him.
The woman he trusted had stolen from his company, abused employees, and manipulated his family.
Cassandra's mask finally shattered.
She laughed bitterly.
"You want the truth?"
The guests froze.
"I did it because nobody respects weakness."
She pointed at Lena.
"Your daughter was weak."
Then she pointed at Richard.
"And you were easy to control."
Gasps spread across the terrace.
The confession echoed through the night.
Police officers arrived less than twenty minutes later.
Several executives tried to leave.
None made it past the gates.
As Cassandra was escorted away, she turned toward Lena.
"You think you've won?"
Lena looked at her quietly.
"No."
May you like
She glanced toward the employees standing near the mansion.
"I think they finally did."
