Clara walked onto the stage one final time.
"I promised every guest there would be a surprise tonight."
She nodded toward the catering staff.
Instead of ending the evening, the ballroom transformed into a celebration.
Musicians returned.
Fresh champagne was served.
Then Clara made one final announcement.
"Every employee who helped create this wedding..."
"...from the cleaners to the chefs..."
"...will receive a year's bonus."
The staff burst into emotional applause.
Many had quietly watched Patricia insult Clara for months.
Now they understood why Clara had remained calm.
