Chapter 3: The Real Villain Steps Into the Light

Victor stood slowly.

"That's enough."

His voice was calm.

Controlled.

"The girl has lost her mind."

Evelyn laughed bitterly.

"No."

She reached into the folds of her wedding gown.

Another flash drive.

"I spent three years earning your son's trust."

"Not because I loved him..."

"...because I wanted the truth."

The ballroom lights dimmed as the technician inserted the drive into the reception projector.

A second recording appeared.

Victor.

Inside his executive office years earlier.

"I don't care if the numbers are fake."

"Blame Daniel Foster."

"If the investigation needs a sacrifice..."

"Make it him."

Silence crushed the room.

Adrian slowly looked at his father.

"You knew?"

Victor didn't answer.

Instead, he suddenly rushed toward the projector.

Security intercepted him before he reached the stage.

Guests pulled out their phones.

Lawyers exchanged stunned glances.

The maid quietly handed another envelope to the police officers who had just entered the ballroom.

Inside were financial records.

Emails.

Signed documents.

Everything Evelyn had spent years collecting.

She hadn't only exposed a poisoning.

She had exposed corporate fraud that had ruined dozens of innocent families.

Victor's empire began collapsing before everyone's eyes.

But Adrian's heart shattered for a different reason.
