PART 4 — A Family Begins Again

Six months later...

The mansion felt completely different.

The silence was peaceful now.

Children's laughter echoed through the halls where fear had once lived.

The little boy had started smiling again.

His nightmares slowly faded.

One sunny afternoon, Adrian found him planting white roses beside the garden.

"These are for Mommy," the boy said softly.

"And for Miss Lena."

Adrian knelt beside him.

"Why for Lena?"

The boy smiled.

"Because Mommy watched over me from Heaven..."

"...and Miss Lena watched over me here."

Lena wiped away tears as she stood nearby.

Adrian walked over and handed her a small envelope.

Inside was a legal document.

She looked up, confused.

"What is this?"

"A contract," Adrian said.

"I'd like you to stay."

"As our family's guardian."

Lena smiled through her tears.

"I already was."

Months later, the little boy ran laughing through the garden, holding both Adrian's hand and Lena's.

He no longer looked over his shoulder in fear.

He no longer believed he had been forgotten.

Because love had finally found him again.

And Adrian made himself one final promise.

He would never again mistake charm for kindness...

...or ignore the quiet voice of a child asking for help.

The mansion that had witnessed the end of one marriage...

...became the place where a broken father and his son learned how to become a family again.
