Three days later, Santiago invited both families to the mansion.
Renata arrived wearing another expensive designer dress, convinced he intended to smooth everything over.
Instead...
He removed the engagement ring from his pocket.
"I can't marry someone who believes kindness is weakness."
The room froze.
Renata stared at him.
"You're ending our engagement?"
"Because of one accident?"
"No."
"Because the accident revealed who you truly are."
She looked desperately toward both families.
No one defended her.
Even her own father lowered his eyes.
Santiago placed the diamond ring on the table.
"Our relationship ends today."
Security quietly escorted Renata from the estate.
As she reached the front door, she turned back one last time.
Lucía simply waved politely.
