CHAPTER 3 – The House of Lies

That afternoon, Alejandro canceled every meeting.
No investors.
No phone calls.
No boardroom.
Instead, he quietly reviewed every security recording stored inside the mansion.
For hours, nothing appeared unusual.
Then he found something strange.
Entire sections had been deleted.
The missing footage always covered the hours when Alejandro had been traveling abroad.
He immediately summoned the head of household security.
The elderly man walked into the office pale and visibly nervous.
"I want every deleted recording restored."
The man lowered his eyes.
"I... I can't."
"Why?"
"Mrs. Esther ordered them erased."
Alejandro slowly stood.
"Explain."
The guard's voice shook.
"She said Madam Valeria was emotionally unstable."
"She told us protecting the family's reputation mattered more than preserving security footage."
Alejandro felt sick.
"Who authorized that?"
"You did."
He frowned.
"I never approved anything."
The guard swallowed hard.
"We received signed authorization bearing your electronic signature."
Alejandro opened the document.
His blood ran cold.
The signature looked perfect.
But he had never signed it.
May you like
Someone inside his own family had forged his identity.
The betrayal was deeper than he had imagined.
