Chapter 4: Justice Never Sleeps

Chapter 4: Justice Never Sleeps
The following morning, the mansion felt strangely peaceful.
The servants who had once lowered their heads in fear now stood proudly beside the maid.
The homeowner gathered the entire household in the grand hall.
He bowed his head before the woman everyone had wrongly accused.
"I failed to protect you," he said.
"I'm sorry."
The maid's eyes filled with tears.
"You were the first person who believed me."
He shook his head.
"I should have believed you from the beginning."
Days later, investigators uncovered the full truth.
The missing necklace had only been the beginning.
For nearly three years, the lady of the house had secretly stolen money, forged financial documents, manipulated staff, and framed innocent employees whenever suspicion drew close.
More than a dozen former servants, once dismissed in disgrace, were officially cleared of all accusations.
Several returned to testify.
Others simply smiled through tears after finally hearing the words they had waited years to hear:
"You were innocent."
Months later, the homeowner established a charitable foundation to provide legal assistance and emergency support for domestic workers who were falsely accused of crimes.
The former maid became its first director.
Standing before dozens of grateful families at the foundation's opening ceremony, she smiled with quiet confidence.
"I lost my job..."
"I almost lost my freedom..."
"But I never lost the truth."
The audience rose in applause.
Because lies may survive for a while.
But somewhere...
A camera remembers.

And sooner or later...
Justice presses play.
