Chapter 2: The Billionaire Walked In

Ten minutes later...

Another convoy entered the estate.

This time...

No one needed an introduction.

Richard Ashford stepped from a black limousine without bodyguards touching the door.

Seventy years old.

Straight-backed.

Impeccably dressed.

The kind of man whose silence could bankrupt companies.

He walked through the entrance without looking at Adrian.

Without looking at Vanessa.

His eyes searched only for his daughter.

When he saw the blood soaking through her torn dress...

He stopped walking.

For several long seconds...

No one breathed.

Then he removed his suit jacket.

Carefully placed it over Victoria's shoulders.

His hands trembled.

Not from age.

From rage.

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

"I should have brought you home sooner."

Victoria gently shook her head.

"No."

"I needed them to finish."

Richard nodded once.

Charles handed him a tablet.

On its screen...

The hidden pendant had recorded everything.

The insults.

The confessions.

The illegal money transfers.

Every lash.

Every order.

Richard watched only thirty seconds before locking the screen.

"That's enough."

He turned toward Adrian for the first time.

"So..."

"You're the man who believed hurting my daughter made you powerful."

Adrian collapsed to his knees.

"Mr. Ashford... I didn't know..."

Richard interrupted quietly.

"Exactly."

"You never cared enough to know."

Charles stepped forward.

"Sir."

"The financial crime unit has frozen every Vale Holdings account."

"The tax authority has begun emergency audits."

"The commercial banks have canceled every credit facility."

"The board has resigned."

"His investors have been notified."

Adrian's face turned white.

"My company..."

Richard answered coldly.

"Already belongs to your creditors."

Vanessa stumbled backward.

"You can't do this!"

Richard looked at her once.

"You created a shell company."

"You signed every forged invoice."

"You'll explain them in court."

Security officers approached.

May you like

Vanessa's champagne glass slipped from her hand and shattered across the marble floor.

No one reacted.
