Chapter 4 — A Family Divided

The next morning, I invited my father, my sister, and two close relatives to the house.
My mother entered the living room wearing her usual confident smile.
"What is all this?"
Without saying a word, I turned on the television.
The security footage filled the screen.
No one spoke.
My father's face turned white.
My sister covered her mouth.
My mother's calm expression slowly collapsed.
"It's taken out of context," she insisted.
"I only wanted her to become stronger."
Anna quietly walked into the room.
Still exhausted.
Still pale.
But this time she wasn't afraid.
She looked directly at my mother.
"You never wanted me to become stronger."
"You wanted me to disappear."
No one defended my mother.
Not even my father.
He removed his wedding ring and placed it on the coffee table.
"I never imagined I married someone capable of this."

My mother's eyes filled with panic.
For the first time, she understood she had truly lost her family.
