Chapter 2: Christmas Morning Judgment

At sunrise...

The mansion filled with guests expecting another glamorous Christmas brunch.

Jimena descended the grand staircase wearing a new diamond bracelet.

She smiled proudly.

Then froze.

Every guest had been seated in the ballroom.

Not for breakfast.

For a meeting.

Alejandro stood beside the Christmas tree.

His daughters stood safely beside Rosa.

The family's attorney arrived carrying several thick folders.

"So glad you're finally awake," Alejandro said calmly.

Jimena forced a smile.

"What is all this?"

Without answering, Alejandro nodded toward the large television.

Security footage began playing.

Night after night...

Jimena ordering servants not to feed the girls.

Jimena throwing away their dinners.

Jimena screaming that they were "too ugly to deserve expensive food."

Gasps echoed across the ballroom.

One investor quietly stood and walked away.

Then another.

Then another.

Alejandro placed the financial records on the table.

"The diamonds."

"The vacations."

"The parties."

"The champagne."

"You paid for every one of them with money intended for my daughters."

Jimena's face turned ghostly white.

"You can't prove—"

"I already have."

The attorney interrupted.

"The bank approved a complete forensic audit."

"The evidence has been forwarded to prosecutors this morning."

Jimena collapsed into a chair.

For the first time...

No one applauded her.

No one defended her.

Only silence remained.
