Part 2: The Evidence

Vanessa's face drained of color.
For years, she had perfected the art of deception.
A gentle smile.
A soft voice.
A carefully crafted image of kindness.
But none of those things could save her now.
Daniel slowly stood.
His arm wrapped protectively around Lily.
For the first time in months, the little girl stopped looking at the floor.
She looked at her father.
And she knew he believed her.
"Daniel, she's confused," Vanessa said quickly.
"She's just a child."
Daniel stared at her.
Then he pulled out his phone.
"I agree."
Vanessa blinked.
"What?"
"She is a child."
He pressed play.
The kitchen filled with Vanessa's voice.
"Go ahead."
"That's where you belong."
"Then stay hungry."
The recording echoed through the room.
Vanessa's knees nearly buckled.
Lily buried her face against her father's chest.
Daniel never looked away from Vanessa.
"Did you really think I wouldn't find out?"
Vanessa opened her mouth.
Nothing came out.
For several seconds, only the rain could be heard.
Then Daniel spoke again.
"Pack your things."
"Daniel—"
"Now."
The coldness in his voice terrified her more than any scream could have.
She had never heard him sound like that.
Not once.
Because at that moment, he wasn't a fiancé.
He was a father.
And fathers can forgive many things.
But not cruelty toward their children.
Vanessa tried one final lie.
"You're throwing away our future because of a misunderstanding."
Daniel shook his head.
"No."
His eyes hardened.
"You threw it away the first time you hurt my daughter."
Security arrived ten minutes later.
Vanessa left the mansion carrying two suitcases and a ruined reputation.

But Daniel wasn't finished.
Because what he found on the rest of the recordings was even worse.
