Chapter 1: The Son Who Refused to Look Back

The Sterling mansion fell into complete silence after the live broadcast ended.

No one moved.

No one dared speak.

Victor Sterling slowly lowered himself into his chair, staring blankly at the television that had just stolen everything he believed about his family.

Julian suddenly stood.

"This is ridiculous!" he shouted. "They're lying! Elias isn't a Lancaster! They're making him a puppet!"

The family lawyer calmly placed another folder onto the table.

"I was hoping you would deny it."

He slid several photographs across the polished wood.

Hidden bank transfers.

Forged signatures.

Bribes paid to former students at Saint Gabriel.

Payments to anonymous witnesses.

Every lie Julian had ever told was documented.

Victor's hands shook as he read each page.

"You... did this?"

Julian swallowed.

"I only wanted what belonged to me."

"What belonged to you?" Victor whispered.

"The company. The inheritance. Your attention."

Mrs. Sterling covered her mouth, unable to stop crying.

"You destroyed your own brother..."

Julian looked around desperately.

"You all believed me! You signed the papers! None of you questioned anything!"

His words struck harder than any confession.

Because he was right.

Every member of the Sterling family had chosen convenience over truth.

Meanwhile...

Across the city, Elias entered the Lancaster family's private estate.

The enormous iron gates opened before him.

Hundreds of employees stood in two silent lines.

The Lancaster patriarch smiled gently.

"You don't have to forgive anyone today."

Elias looked toward the distant skyline.

"I don't hate them anymore."

He paused.

"But they no longer have a place in my life."

The old man nodded proudly.

"Then today..."

"...you finally became free."
