PART 2: The Boardroom
PART 2: The Boardroom
The next morning, Ethan walked into Parker Freight Solutions expecting a normal day.
Instead, security stopped him at the entrance.
"Sir, your badge has been deactivated."
Ethan laughed.
"Nice joke."
The guard didn't smile.
Behind him, employees pretended not to stare.
A few minutes later, Ethan stormed toward Human Resources.
His access card failed at every door.
His company phone displayed a single message:
ACCESS REVOKED.
By noon, he sat in the executive boardroom facing seven directors.
Claire sat at the opposite end of the table.
Calm.
Composed.
Untouchable.
For the first time, Ethan noticed something strange.
Everyone looked at Claire before speaking.
Not him.
Her.
The chairman cleared his throat.
"Ethan, before today's vote, there is information you apparently never received."
A document slid across the table.
Ethan opened it.
Then went pale.
Majority Shareholder: Claire Parker.
Voting Control: 51%.
Founder Status: Permanent.
Executive Authority: Final Approval.
His hands started shaking.
"No..."
Claire folded her hands.
"Yes."
The room remained silent.
"You thought you were running my company," she said.
"You were managing a department."
The vote took less than three minutes.
Seven votes.
Seven approvals.
One termination.
When Ethan left the building, he was no longer an executive.
He was unemployed.

And waiting for him outside was Linda.
She had no idea things were about to get worse.
