A week later, someone sabotaged Nora's car brakes.
Fortunately, she noticed before driving.
The mechanic stared in disbelief.
"These brake lines were cut."
Nora froze.
That evening, Vincent ordered every security camera reviewed.
Hours later, the footage revealed one of Marco's trusted men entering the parking garage.
Vincent's face turned to stone.
He walked into Marco's office without knocking.
"You tried to kill her."
Marco laughed.
"I protected the family."
"She's changing you."
Vincent stepped closer.
"She saved Lily."
"Exactly."
Marco sneered.
"A woman like her becomes family... and suddenly your empire becomes weak."
Vincent's voice became ice.
"You forgot one thing."
Marco raised an eyebrow.
"I choose my family."
Within twenty-four hours, Marco was stripped of every position inside the organization.
His men abandoned him.
His money disappeared.
