As Vanessa was escorted toward the police car, one detective approached Daniel.

"Sir... there's something else."

He placed another folder on the table.

It contained weeks of financial records.

The transfers all led to offshore corporations.

Every signature belonged to Vanessa.

The detective opened another video.

Vanessa had secretly bribed a former employee to falsely accuse Emily of leaking confidential information.

She wanted Emily gone long before the theft.

Daniel slowly closed his eyes.

"It was a plan."

The detective nodded.

"She needed someone to blame while she emptied your accounts."

Daniel looked toward Emily.

"I'm sorry."

She shook her head gently.

"I only wanted to keep my job."

Daniel reached into his pocket and handed her the mansion keys.

"From today forward..."

"You'll never work as a servant again."

"I want you to manage this entire estate."

Emily froze.

"I don't know if I can."

Daniel smiled for the first time that night.

"I know you already have."
