Part 2 – The Wedding That Never Happened

No one moved.
The orchestra downstairs continued playing...
Completely unaware that the marriage had already ended.
Adrian looked at the little boy trembling in Lena's arms.
Then he slowly turned toward his bride.
"Tell everyone the truth."
She shook her head.
"I don't know what he's talking about."
Her voice cracked for the first time.
Adrian stepped closer.
"Don't lie to me."
The hallway fell silent.
Then Lena reached into the pocket of her apron.
"I didn't want to interfere..."
"...but I think you should see this."
She handed Adrian a small voice recorder.
"I found it under the bed this morning."
"I thought it belonged to one of the wedding staff."
With trembling fingers, Adrian pressed play.
Static filled the hallway.
Then came his son's frightened voice.
"Please... I want my daddy."
The bride answered coldly.
"Your father has a new family now."
"If you cry during the ceremony..."
"...he'll send you away forever."
The little boy sobbed.
"I'll be good..."
"I promise..."
"Please don't make Daddy hate me."
The recording ended.
Every guest who had followed the noise upstairs stood frozen.
The bride's parents stared at their daughter in disbelief.
One elderly woman quietly covered her mouth.
Adrian removed his wedding ring.
Without a word...
He dropped it onto the marble floor.
The sound echoed louder than the wedding music below.
"This marriage is over."
Gasps spread through the mansion.
The bride reached for him.
"Adrian... please..."
He stepped back.
"You didn't just lie to me."
"You terrorized my son."
"For months."
Security quietly escorted the screaming bride from the mansion.
Outside...
The waiting photographers captured the moment the bride walked away alone—
Still wearing the wedding dress...
Without a husband.
