The mansion did not feel the same anymore.
Not because anything had changed visibly—
but because nothing responded to Damian anymore.
He tried calling board members.
No answer.
He tried accessing accounts.
Denied.
He tried contacting legal teams.
Disconnected.
And every system he once controlled now displayed the same message:
ACCESS REVOKED — AUTHORIZED SIGNATORY: ELENA MORETTI
Veronica stepped back, whispering, “This can’t be real…”
Damian turned slowly toward Elena.
“You did this?” he asked, voice shaking for the first time.
Elena stood near the window, calm as still water.
“I didn’t do anything,” she said softly.
A pause.
“I just stopped stopping it.”
The executive behind her spoke calmly.
“All systems were built under her original authorization code.”
