Richard ordered the mansion's security chief to lock every exit.

"No one leaves."

Victoria's face turned pale.

"You can't be serious."

Richard ignored her.

Instead, he called his attorney and the chairman of the family's board.

Within an hour, luxury cars filled the driveway.

Medical reports documenting Emily's bruises.

Financial records showing that Victoria had secretly diverted millions of dollars from the family's charitable foundation into accounts she controlled.

She hadn't only abused a child.

She had stolen from the company.

The board voted unanimously.

Victoria was immediately removed from every executive position.

Her bank accounts were frozen pending investigation.

The police arrived before sunset.

As officers escorted her toward the front gate, she turned desperately toward Richard.

"You loved me!"

Richard answered calmly.

"I loved the woman I believed you were."

"You destroyed her yourself."

Emily watched quietly from the staircase.

Richard gently covered her eyes.

"You don't need to watch someone else's punishment," he said.
