CHAPTER 3 — THE LIES FINALLY COLLAPSE

News spread through the Walker family faster than anyone expected.

By Sunday afternoon, Ethan had invited every close relative to his house.

Not for a celebration.

For the truth.

Margaret arrived believing she could still control the narrative.

Instead, she found twenty members of the family waiting in the living room.

No one spoke.

Ethan stood beside Emma, holding their daughter.

Then he placed two items on the coffee table.

The DNA report.

And a tablet.

"I want everyone to understand exactly what happened."

He pressed play.

Hidden security cameras covered the upstairs hallway.

One camera captured the nursery doorway.

The footage showed everything.

Margaret entering without knocking.

Emma calmly asking her to leave.

Margaret grabbing Emma's arm.

Pulling her hair.

Throwing her to the floor.

Every second.

Every word.

Every scream.

When the video ended...

No one moved.

Ethan's aunt covered her mouth.

His uncle slowly shook his head.

His younger sister looked at Margaret with tears in her eyes.

"You lied to all of us."

Margaret tried to speak.

"It wasn't—"

"It was exactly what we just watched," Ethan answered.

Another silence followed.

Then his grandfather stood.

For decades, he had been the unquestioned head of the Walker family.

He looked directly at Margaret.

"I raised you better than this."

Her face crumpled.

"You attacked the mother of your grandchild."

No one defended her.

Not one person.

She suddenly realized something she had never imagined.

She had lost the room.

Not because Emma had fought back.

But because the truth had.

Before leaving, Ethan's grandfather turned to Emma.

"I owe you an apology."

Then one by one...

The rest of the family apologized too.

Emma accepted every apology with quiet grace.

Only Margaret remained standing alone.
