Chapter 2: The Sketchbook Secret

As photographers surrounded Maya, one page from the torn sketchbook drifted across the marble floor.

A young reporter picked it up.

He expected random drawings.

Instead, he found page after page of breathtaking fashion concepts.

Elegant evening gowns.

Architectural silhouettes.

Modern couture unlike anything currently on the runway.

He showed them to another reporter.

Within seconds, cameras surrounded the sketches instead of Regina.

One design caught everyone's attention.

It looked almost identical to the gown Maya had just created.

The editor looked at Maya.

"When did you draw these?"

"Almost four years ago."

Another designer quietly examined the pages.

Then his face changed.

"I've seen these designs before."

Regina's heartbeat accelerated.

The designer continued.

"They're almost identical to the collection Regina presented at Paris Fashion Week two years ago."

The ballroom fell completely silent.

Every eye slowly turned toward Regina.

Maya lowered her gaze.

"I never reported it."

"You mean..."

The editor looked horrified.

"Someone stole your work?"

May you like

Maya simply nodded.

"I needed the job more than the fight."
