Later that afternoon, Officer Sarah brought Emma to the police station.

A social worker was called.

Warm food was prepared.

For the first time in weeks, Emma ate until she couldn't eat anymore.

But something kept bothering Sarah.

Sarah's heart skipped a beat.

In an unsolved missing-child case.

Her hands shook as she searched the archives.

Finally, she found the file.

Eight years earlier, a wealthy businessman's daughter had vanished during a kidnapping attempt.

The case had shocked the entire country.

The child was never found.

Sarah stared at the old photograph.

Then she looked at Emma.

The same eyes.

The same birthmark near her left ear.

The same necklace.

The room suddenly felt smaller.

Emma wasn't just an orphan.
