Isabella walked back through the front entrance.
The same employees who had watched her humiliation only minutes earlier now stood in two respectful lines.
No one spoke.
The Chairman of the Board stepped out of the private elevator.
Her father.
Richard Sinclair.
One of the founders of the Sinclair Hospitality Group.
He crossed the marble lobby and embraced his daughter.
"I'm sorry I let this go on for so long."
Marcus felt his stomach tighten.
"Sinclair?"
Richard turned toward him.
"For eleven years, Isabella asked us to let you believe this empire was yours."
Marcus shook his head.
"No... I built these hotels."
Richard smiled sadly.
"You managed them."
He held up the original ownership portfolio.
"Our family financed every property before you ever signed your first contract."
The lobby became completely silent.
