CHAPTER 4

The room was silent.

Dr. Aris stared at the coded tag attached to Clara's bracelet.

"What are you talking about?" she asked.

Chief Miller looked at the monitor again.

"I've seen this designation before."

The veteran security officer rarely sounded uncertain.

Today was different.

"This code is only used when a patient is connected to a protected trust."

Dr. Aris frowned.

"Protected by whom?"

Miller looked up.

"The Harrison Foundation."

The doctor's eyes widened.

Everyone in the city knew that name.

The Harrison family owned hospitals, real estate, technology companies, and charities across the country.

Their fortune was worth billions.

And somehow Clara's newborn daughter was connected to them.

"That's impossible," Dr. Aris whispered.

"That's what I thought."

Meanwhile, Clara rested in her hospital room.

Her newborn daughter slept peacefully beside her.

For the first time in years, there was no shouting.

No threats.

No fear.

Just silence.

A gentle knock interrupted the moment.

Dr. Aris entered.

Behind her stood an elderly man wearing a dark suit.

His silver hair was neatly combed.

His posture was perfect.

And his eyes filled with emotion the moment he saw Clara.

The man stopped walking.

For several seconds he couldn't speak.

Then tears appeared.

"My God."

Clara looked confused.

The stranger stepped forward.

"You look exactly like her."

"Like who?"

The old man swallowed hard.

"Your mother."

The room froze.

Clara's heart stopped.

"My mother died when I was six."

The man nodded.

"Yes."

A painful smile appeared.

"But before she died, she had a brother."

Clara stared at him.

The man extended a shaking hand.

"My name is Richard Harrison."

The name hit like lightning.

Harrison.

The billionaire family.

The trust.

The bracelet.

Everything suddenly connected.

Richard wiped away a tear.

"I've been searching for you for twenty years."

Clara couldn't breathe.

"What?"

"When your parents died, mistakes were made."

His voice broke.

"Terrible mistakes."

The room felt unreal.

"Your records disappeared."

"We searched for years."

"We hired investigators."

"We never stopped looking."

Richard smiled through tears.

"And now we've finally found you."

May you like

Clara sat motionless.

Her entire life had changed in less than twenty-four hours.
