CHAPTER 3 – THE RACE AGAINST TIME

Three hours later, the billionaire's private jet landed in a small coastal town.
Ethan sat beside him the entire flight.
Neither said much.
Both were terrified.
The address in Sophia's letter led them to a modest house near the ocean.
The billionaire ran to the front door.
A nurse answered.
For a moment, she simply stared.
Then she smiled sadly.
"She's been waiting for you."
His heart nearly stopped.
Inside the bedroom, Sophia lay by the window.
She looked thinner.
Older.
But her eyes were exactly the same.
For several seconds neither spoke.
Then Sophia smiled.
A weak, trembling smile.
"You found him."
The billionaire fell to his knees beside her bed.
"No," he said through tears.
"You found me."
Years of pain vanished in that moment.
The misunderstandings.
The loneliness.
The betrayal.
Everything.
Sophia reached for Ethan's hand and placed it in his father's.
"He needs you now."
The billionaire nodded.
"I'll never leave him."
Ethan wrapped his arms around both of them.
For the first time in his life, he felt complete.
That night they talked until sunrise.
About lost years.
About dreams.
About everything that should have happened.
And before dawn, Sophia finally told them the secret she had carried for years.
May you like
She had never stopped loving him.
Not for a single day.
