The moving truck pulled away from the mansion.

The pregnant woman never looked back.

The husband's mother tried desperately to regain control.

The lead investigator calmly placed another file onto the table.

"So why did every medical bill come from her private account?"

Another document.

"The deed to this mansion."

The husband frowned.

"What about it?"

The investigator slid it toward him.

"Your wife purchased this property three years ago."

He blinked.

"No..."

"My father bought this house."

The father finally spoke.

"No."

"I loaned your father the money."

"When he died, the debt was transferred."

"My daughter quietly paid it in full."

The room spun around the husband.

He looked at the signature.

Her name.

Not his.

The luxury cars?

Registered through her investment company.

The renovation?

Paid from her trust fund.

Even the family business...

Had survived only because she secretly invested millions after it nearly collapsed.

His mother collapsed into a chair.

"You... never told us."

The father answered coldly.

"Because she didn't marry you for money."

"She married you for love."

"You repaid that love with humiliation."

The lead officer stepped forward.

"Mr. Harrison, you are under arrest for domestic assault, financial fraud, and evidence tampering."

Handcuffs clicked shut.

The husband lowered his head.

His mother screamed at the officers.

She threatened lawyers.

Connections.

No one listened.
